Carol Choi Announces Production of 'Moving' Season 2 at Disney Showcase

At the 'Disney Showcase' held on November 21, 2024, in Singapore, excitement erupted as Carol Choi, the head of content for the Asia-Pacific region, announced the production of Season 2 of 'Moving' (무빙). The event took place at Marina Bay Sands, where The Walt Disney Company presented its content lineup for the region, including announcements for Disney+ Korea and Disney+ Japan. Choi highlighted the connection between 'Moving,' set in 2018, and another project, 'Lighting Store,' which also shares the same backdrop, raising anticipation among fans.
In her closing remarks, Choi expressed her pride in the upcoming lineup, stating, "I hope you enjoyed the amazing previews. I am incredibly proud of everything we have released over the past three years." She emphasized the ongoing fan interest in 'Moving,' describing it as an action fantasy series that explores themes of friendship, family, and human relationships in a fresh way. The series has garnered numerous awards and was nominated for Best Drama at the Critics' Choice Awards last year, also achieving the top viewership among Disney+ original content worldwide.
Choi further announced, "We cannot stop here; I have great news to share. We have begun the development of 'Moving' Season 2, collaborating with writer Kang Full (강풀)." This announcement was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. She added, "Thank you. We are still in the early stages, and I will provide more details in the future."
The 'Disney Showcase,' which ran for two days starting November 20, 2024, allowed attendees to preview upcoming projects from The Walt Disney Company. Approximately 500 journalists, influencers, and Disney partners from 12 Asia-Pacific countries, including South Korea, Singapore, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia, were present at the event.
