BTS's V Sets Record as First Korean Artist with Three Holiday Hits on Billboard

V, known as the 'Winter Boy,' has made history as the first Korean artist to have three songs chart on Billboard's 'Holiday Hot 100.' His latest track, 'White Christmas (with V of BTS),' featuring Bing Crosby, has entered the chart dated December 21. Previously, V's 'Christmas Tree,' released in winter 2021, and his duet 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN),' released last month, also made it onto the same chart. This achievement makes V the only K-pop artist to have three songs on the 'Holiday Hot 100.'

All of V's winter releases have been hailed as exceptional seasonal songs. Billboard selected 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' as one of the '27 Best Winter Songs for the Season,' praising its ability to evoke the first day of winter and describing the harmony between the two artists as fresh as snowflakes. They noted that the song's appeal would extend beyond December 25.

Additionally, 'Christmas Tree' was featured in Billboard's list of 'The 25 Best Christmas Songs of the 21st Century (So Far): Staff Picks,' with the staff highlighting its poignant lyrics: 'Your light’s the only thing that keeps the cold out / Moon in the summer night / Whispering of the stars / They’re singing like Christmas trees for us.'

This winter, V has solidified his status as a representative 'Winter Boy' of the 21st century by placing 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' at number 99 and 'White Christmas (with V of BTS)' at number 93 on the main 'Hot 100' chart. His consistent winter releases, including 'Snow Flower (feat. Peakboy)' and 'wherever u r (ft. V of BTS),' make this record even more significant for his fans.
