BTS's V Sends New Year Greetings to Fans Ahead of Military Discharge

V of BTS (방탄소년단) shared a heartfelt New Year message with fans just five months before his military discharge. On January 26, he posted on the official fan community Weverse, asking, "Are you enjoying the holiday? It's a long break, so I hope you have a great time!"

He also updated fans on his military life, stating, "I’m just working out non-stop at the base!" and expressed his eagerness to reunite with fans, saying, "It’s not long now! I miss you all so much."

Before enlisting, V had set a goal to gain weight up to 86kg during his service. When a fan inquired if he had reached his target weight, he humorously replied, "I’m on my way to achieving it!"

V enlisted in December 2023 and is currently serving in the military police unit of the 2nd Army Corps in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. His expected discharge date is June 10, 2025.
