BTS's V Makes Waves on Billboard with 'Winter Ahead'

BTS (방탄소년단) member V has released his first winter gift, 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)', which is receiving immense love worldwide. According to the latest Billboard charts released on December 10, the digital single 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' debuted at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks the first time a jazz duet by a K-pop artist has entered this chart.
With this achievement, V now has five solo songs that have made it onto the Hot 100, including two released this year. His previous single, 'FRI(END)S', which came out in March, peaked at number 65 on the same chart.
'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' also topped the year-end special charts, securing the number one spot on both the 'Holiday Digital Song Sales' and 'Holiday Top 100', while landing at 14th on the 'Global (excluding U.S.)' chart and 33rd on the 'Global 200'. It reached the top of the 'Digital Song Sales' chart, making its success even more remarkable during a time when traditional carols typically dominate the charts.
The success of BTS members continues, with Jimin's 'Who' reaching number 47 on the Billboard Hot 100. His solo album 'MUSE' also made its mark, ranking 114th on the Billboard 200, maintaining a presence on the chart for 20 consecutive weeks. Jimin has now become the K-pop solo artist with the longest stay on the Hot 100 in the past decade. Notably, 'Who' climbed nine spots from the previous week, while 'MUSE' rose 43 spots.
In addition, 'Who' is performing well on various sub-charts, appearing at 23rd on the 'Global (excluding U.S.)', 24th on the 'Global 200', 35th on the 'Streaming Songs', and 13th on the 'Digital Song Sales'. 'MUSE' is positioned 5th on the 'World Albums' chart.
