BTS's V Donates 200 Million Won for Wildfire Relief Efforts

BTS (방탄소년단) member V has made a generous donation to support recovery efforts for victims of the recent devastating wildfires. The Korean Red Cross (대한적십자사), led by Chairman Kim Cheol-soo, announced on March 31, 2025, that V contributed 200 million won to assist those affected by the fires and the firefighters working tirelessly on the front lines.
Of the total donation, 100 million won will be allocated for emergency relief and recovery support for victims in areas such as Sancheong County in Gyeongnam, Uiseong County in Gyeongbuk, and Ulju County in Ulsan, which were severely impacted by the wildfires. The remaining 100 million won will be used to improve the recovery and treatment of firefighters who have been engaged in firefighting and rescue operations.
V expressed his deep respect for the victims of this sudden disaster and the brave firefighters, rescue workers, and volunteers who are risking their lives on the front lines. He shared, "During my military service, I felt very distressed watching the news during evening roll call, especially knowing that some of my comrades might have family members affected by this disaster. Thankfully, the wildfires are nearly under control, but I hope there will be no further loss of life, and I wish for my donation to be a small help."
Chairman Kim Cheol-soo of the Korean Red Cross expressed gratitude for V's significant contribution, stating, "We deeply appreciate this valuable donation aimed at protecting the safety and lives of our citizens. We will ensure that the funds are used transparently and responsibly to provide real support to the victims and firefighters."
