BTS's V Achieves Major Streaming Milestone with 'Slow Dancing'

V, a member of the globally renowned group BTS (방탄소년단), has added another significant achievement to his name on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. As of May 21, 2025, his title track 'Slow Dancing' from his debut solo album 'Layover' has surpassed 500 million streams. This marks V's third solo track to reach this milestone, following 'Love Me Again' and 'FRI(END)S'. Notably, 'Love Me Again' was the first of his songs to hit this mark and has since exceeded 1 billion streams.

'Slow Dancing' is a Pop R&B track infused with 1970s soul sounds, featuring a unique atmosphere enhanced by jazz elements. The song captivates listeners with V's romantic and laid-back vocals, culminating in an improvisational flute performance that embodies the song's title, offering a sense of freedom and tranquility.

Upon its release in September 2023, 'Slow Dancing' debuted at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number 24 on the UK Official Singles Chart, showcasing its global appeal. The song, along with the previously released 'Love Me Again', has enjoyed sustained popularity on Spotify.

The album 'Layover', which includes 'Slow Dancing' and 'Love Me Again', has been praised for its focus on V's unique vocal color and essence. It peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and received a Platinum certification from the Japan Record Association in 2024.

To date, V has released a total of 12 solo tracks that have each garnered over 100 million streams on Spotify.
