BTS's Jungkook Targeted in Home Intrusion Incident Following Military Discharge
On the night of June 11, Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) faced an alarming situation when a woman in her 30s attempted to break into his home shortly after he completed his military service. According to the Yongsan Police Station, the incident occurred around 11:20 PM at Jungkook's residence in Yongsan, Seoul, where the suspect, a Chinese national identified as Ms. A, repeatedly entered the door code in an effort to gain access. A nearby citizen reported the incident, and it has been confirmed that neither Jungkook nor his agency was the direct victim of the intrusion. Ms. A reportedly stated to the police that she traveled to South Korea to see Jungkook after his discharge. Authorities are currently investigating her entry into the country and her visa status. Jungkook enlisted in the army in December 2023 and served in the 5th Division's Artillery Brigade. He celebrated his discharge at a public event in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, alongside fellow BTS member Jimin (지민), where they greeted fans. Jungkook's agency, HYBE, commented that they cannot provide further details as the police investigation is ongoing.
