BTS's Jungkook Sends Heartfelt Message to Fans Ahead of Military Discharge

Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) reached out to his fans on December 18, just six months before his military discharge. He posted a message on the fan communication platform Weverse, saying, "Knock, knock... Are you all doing well? Staying healthy? Please don’t get sick and make sure to eat well... I miss you all."

Currently serving in the Army, Jungkook's surprise message caught the attention of fans, who responded with sentiments like, "I really miss you too," "It’s not long until your discharge day," and "Take care of yourself, and let’s meet after you return."

Jungkook enlisted alongside fellow BTS member Jimin (지민) on December 12 last year and is expected to complete his service in June 2024. Despite his military hiatus, he continues to achieve remarkable milestones, recently winning two awards at the Billboard Music Awards.

On December 13 (KST), Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN' and its title track 'Standing Next to You' earned him the titles of 'Top K-Pop Album' and 'Top Global K-Pop Song' at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).

Additionally, earlier this month, a documentary series titled 'JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL' premiered on Disney+, featuring unreleased interviews, behind-the-scenes footage of his album 'GOLDEN', and his collaboration with R&B superstar Usher (어셔).
