BTS Jungkook Stalker Incident After Military Discharge

Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) has returned to his fans after completing 1 year and 6 months of military service, but his homecoming was marred by a shocking incident involving a stalker fan. Just a day after his discharge, a foreign fan attempted to break into his residence, leaving both fans and the public in disbelief.

On the night of June 11, the Yongsan Police in Seoul apprehended a 30-year-old Chinese woman, identified as A, for attempted trespassing after she repeatedly entered the passcode to Jungkook's front door. During police questioning, A reportedly stated that she had come to Korea to see Jungkook in person after his discharge. It was noted that Jungkook had quietly returned home to his family on the day of his release.

This incident has cast a shadow over the warm and emotional welcome that fans had prepared for Jungkook. On May 15, just a month before his discharge, he had shared an excited update on the fan community platform Weverse, saying, "I’m going out soon. I’m going to work out now," and expressed gratitude for the fans' support, urging them to take care of their health and promising to meet them soon.

However, this eagerly awaited reunion was tainted by the reckless actions of a few. Big Hit Music, Jungkook's agency, had previously urged fans to refrain from visiting the site ahead of his discharge to ensure safety, yet intrusive behavior continues to occur.

Netizens have expressed their concerns, stating, "It's so unfortunate that this happened just a day after his discharge," and urging for Jungkook to be allowed to rest peacefully, emphasizing that there is a clear distinction between fans and stalkers.

Meanwhile, Jungkook and fellow member Jimin (지민) completed their service in the Army's 5th Infantry Division and returned home without any official events. Throughout his military service, Jungkook consistently showcased his genuine affection for fans, making this incident all the more disappointing.
