BTS's Jungkook and SEVENTEEN Make Generous Donations to Fire Victims

In a remarkable display of generosity, Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) has joined SEVENTEEN in donating 1 billion KRW to support victims of the recent wildfires in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions. On March 27, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced SEVENTEEN's contribution, expressing their hope that the donation would provide some relief to those affected by the fires. They also extended their condolences to the victims and offered comfort to everyone enduring difficult times.
SEVENTEEN has a history of charitable acts, consistently supporting marginalized communities and contributing to disaster recovery efforts both domestically and internationally. Their substantial donation of 1 billion KRW has garnered significant attention, as such large contributions are rare in the entertainment industry.
Following this, on March 28, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association revealed that Jungkook has also donated 1 billion KRW to aid the wildfire victims. Of this amount, 500 million KRW will be allocated for emergency support and relief supplies for those who have lost their homes due to the fires. The remaining 500 million KRW will be used to improve the recognition and treatment of firefighters who are dedicated to battling such disasters.
Jungkook expressed his desire for his contribution to provide even a small amount of help to those struggling during this challenging time. He hopes that everyone affected by the wildfires and those working tirelessly to extinguish them can return to their peaceful daily lives soon.
Notably, Jungkook had previously donated 1 billion KRW to the Seoul National University Children's Hospital in 2023 to support medical expenses for children from low-income families and the integrated care center project.
