BTS's Jin Shines in New Variety Show 'Dae Hwan Jang Gi An Jang'

BTS (방탄소년단) member Jin has made a remarkable debut in the variety show 'Dae Hwan Jang Gi An Jang' alongside creators Giann84 and Ji Yeo Eun. Just four days after its release, the show soared to the top of Netflix's 'TOP 10 Series (South Korea)' chart, marking a rare success for a variety program on a platform typically dominated by dramas.

Released on April 8, 'Dae Hwan Jang Gi An Jang' quickly captured the public's attention, dominating search trends from its very first episode. The first three episodes, which feature Jin and Ji Yeo Eun managing a guesthouse designed by Giann84 in the middle of the sea near Ulleungdo, have been praised for their blend of romance and humor.

Jin stands out with his unique role as the 'Vice President of the Guesthouse,' showcasing a relaxed demeanor and genuine charm, which has resonated well with audiences despite it being his first variety show since his military discharge. His chemistry with Ji Yeo Eun, who plays his on-screen sister, and the witty banter with Giann84 create a captivating dynamic that embodies the show's title.

The show's unconventional setting, featuring a first floor without an entrance and a second floor accessible only by climbing, has been described as a refreshing take on reality television, offering a level of 'extreme realism' rarely seen in current variety shows.

Director Jung Hyo Min expressed gratitude for Jin's participation, noting that securing him for the show was a challenging process even before his military service ended. He appreciated Jin's commitment to filming in Ulleungdo for over ten days.

'Dae Hwan Jang Gi An Jang' will continue to release new episodes on April 15 and 22, maintaining its momentum. Additionally, a pop-up store resembling the show's guesthouse has opened in Seongsu-dong, featuring various events like a '30-Second Curry Challenge' and merchandise experiences to further engage fans.
