BTS's Jin Sets New Record on UK Official Singles Chart with 'Running Wild'

Jin of BTS (방탄소년단) has achieved a remarkable milestone on the UK Official Chart with his solo work. His title track 'Running Wild' from the album 'Happy' debuted at number 25 on the UK Official Singles Chart, announced on November 22 (local time). This marks Jin's third entry into the official singles chart as a solo artist, following the pre-release track 'I’ll Be There' and his 2022 single 'The Astronaut'. Notably, 'Running Wild' has surpassed the rankings of 'I’ll Be There' (44th) and 'The Astronaut' (61st), setting a new personal best for Jin on this chart.
In terms of specific chart performance, 'Running Wild' secured the top position in both 'Single Downloads' and 'Single Sales', while ranking 6th in 'Physical Singles'. The pre-release track 'I’ll Be There' maintained its presence on the charts, ranking 71st in 'Single Downloads' and 81st in 'Single Sales' for four consecutive weeks. Jin's success continued on the album charts as well, with 'Happy' reaching 2nd in 'Album Downloads', 19th in 'Album Sales', and 17th in 'Physical Albums'.
Meanwhile, Jimin's (지민) second solo album 'MUSE' and its title track 'Who' have also been performing well, appearing in multiple sub-charts including 5th in 'Single Downloads' and 9th in 'Single Sales'. Jimin has now spent 18 weeks on the official chart, breaking his own record for the longest-charting solo track.
Jin's momentum extended to Spotify, where 'Running Wild' debuted at 10th on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart for the week of November 15-21. The track 'Heart on the Window (with Wendy)' landed at 190th, while 'I’ll Be There' climbed 58 spots to 43rd, marking its fourth consecutive week on the chart. Other BTS members also maintained strong positions, with Jimin's 'Who' at 5th, V's (뷔) 'Love Me Again' from his solo album 'Layover' at 86th, and Jungkook's (정국) first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' at 88th.
In the 'Weekly Top Albums Global', Jin's 'Happy - :D (Remixes)' debuted at 8th, while Jimin's 'MUSE' and Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' held 12th and 41st places, respectively. BTS's anthology album 'Proof' continues to chart, now at 71st, marking its 128th week on the charts.
Additionally, the music video for BTS's 'FAKE LOVE' surpassed 1.3 billion views on YouTube around 9:20 PM on November 22, becoming the group's sixth music video to reach this milestone. Released on May 18, 2018, as the title track of their third studio album 'LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear'', 'FAKE LOVE' explores the emotions of realizing that a love once thought to be destined was, in fact, false. The music video is known for its stylish visuals and captivating performances by the seven members, featuring choreography that powerfully conveys the theme of confronting uncomfortable truths.
