BTS's Jin Releases New OST 'Close to You' for tvN Drama

Jin from BTS (방탄소년단) has lent his voice to the original soundtrack (OST) for the tvN weekend drama 'Ask the Stars' (별들에게 물어봐), with the song 'Close to You' set to be released on January 26 at 6 PM KST across various online music platforms.

'Close to You' captures the journey of swimming through the endless space-time of the universe to reach a loved one. The track combines Jin's ethereal and sweet vocals with instrumentals that create a spacious, dreamlike atmosphere, making listeners feel as if they are floating in space. Jin expresses each lyric with great detail, conveying messages of love and hope.

On January 20, a teaser for 'Close to You' was released on the 1theK YouTube channel. Jin's poignant voice enhances the emotional dynamics between the characters Gong Ryong (played by Lee Min-ho) and Eve Kim (played by Gong Hyo-jin), increasing the drama's immersion. Additionally, in the episode aired on January 25, the song played during a tender confession scene, stirring the hearts of viewers.

This marks Jin's return to the OST scene after his successful solo debut with 'Yours' for the 2021 tvN drama 'Jirisan' (지리산). The announcement of his participation in this new OST has sparked enthusiastic reactions from global fans.
