BTS's Jin Meets Hollywood Star Tom Cruise in New Episode
On May 20, BTS (방탄소년단) member Jin had the opportunity to meet Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise during a special episode of the group's official YouTube channel, Bangtan TV (방탄TV), titled 'Run, Jin' (달려라 석진) with the episode named 'Mission: Jinpossible.' In this episode, Jin interviewed Cruise, who was in South Korea to promote his latest film.
From the start, Jin appeared a bit nervous during the opening. He introduced the guest, and Tom Cruise made a cheerful entrance, embracing Jin warmly.
One of the standout moments came when Jin asked Cruise, 'Do you know BTS?' to which Cruise responded with a bright smile, confirming, 'I know them. We all know BTS.' Jin visibly relaxed at this response.
Jin then recorded a video message for his fellow BTS members, saying, 'Guys, Tom Cruise knows us!' while beaming with joy, and Cruise looked on at Jin with a smile.
Cruise expressed his admiration for BTS and Jin, stating, 'I want to say that everything BTS and Jin have achieved is truly remarkable. I’m a big fan, and I’m happy to be here with you today.' This heartfelt compliment left a significant impact on Jin.
Jin shared his excitement, saying, 'It’s such an honor that you know me. I remember watching my first movie, 'Mission: Impossible,' when I was 15. It’s a great honor to film with you today, and I will do my best.'
Cruise replied, 'Thank you. It’s a great honor for me as well. I’m glad that I can bring joy to you, Jin.'
During the interview, Cruise also reflected on his twelfth visit to South Korea, praising the warmth of the people and the richness of Korean culture. He remarked, 'The culture is amazing, and the food is delicious. I love that Koreans are passionate about movies and create wonderful films. It’s always a pleasure to share films and music here.'
