BTS's Jin Appears on NBC's 'The Tonight Show' and Shares Insights on Happiness

Jin of BTS (방탄소년단) made a notable appearance on NBC's popular talk show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, on the 21st of November (local time), where he performed his new track 'Running Wild' (러닝 와일드). This marked the first time Jin showcased the title song from his debut solo album 'HAPPY' (해피) on a major U.S. television program since its release on the 15th of November.

During the show, host Jimmy Fallon welcomed Jin as a member of the 'global superstar' group BTS. The two engaged in a lively conversation, discussing Jin's role as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics and his recent release of the full version of 'Super Tuna' (슈퍼 참치) from last October. They even shared a moment by dancing to the signature choreography of 'Super Tuna'.

Jin described his solo album 'HAPPY' as being particularly personal, stating, "Since my opinions are heavily reflected in it, it feels closer to me." He elaborated on the album's title, explaining, "Happiness is a very important word and value for me, so I wanted to express that through music, which is why I named the album 'HAPPY'."

He also spoke about the track 'Longing' (그리움), sharing that it encapsulates his feelings of missing his fans during his military service. Jin expressed his affection for his fanbase, ARMY, by saying, "I love you, ARMY," which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.

The highlight of the episode was Jin's performance of 'Running Wild'. Set against a backdrop of roads and signposts, he delivered an energetic rendition of the song. 'Running Wild' is characterized by its British rock-inspired pop rock sound, conveying a bright and warm message about running towards hope with all one's might.

In addition, Jin is set to host a special fan event titled 'Merry Run Around' (메리 런 라운드) on the 24th of November at the Lotte World Adventure carousel in Songpa-gu, Seoul. This unique event promises to offer fans a different experience compared to traditional fan signing events, as it will take place while riding the carousel.
