BTS's Jimin Wins First Award at 2024 MAMA While Serving in the Military; Rosé and Bruno Mars Perform

BTS (방탄소년단) member Jimin (지민) has made headlines by winning the first award at the 2024 MAMA Awards while serving in the military. Despite his ongoing service, he received the 'Fan's Choice of the Year' award during the event held on November 22 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.

Jimin enlisted in the army in December of last year and has continued to release music, including digital singles, which have garnered him immense popularity even during his service. His achievement at the MAMA Awards marks a significant milestone, as he was the first recipient among the four major awards presented that evening.

The 2024 MAMA Awards showcased dazzling performances and awards from beloved K-pop stars, starting with aespa, who expressed their surprise and gratitude upon winning the 'Fan's Choice' award. Miyawaki Sakura (미야오), who won the 'Favorite Rising Artist' award, expressed her happiness at receiving such recognition at their first awards ceremony, thanking all the staff and producers involved.

TREASURE, awarded 'Favorite Male Group,' expressed their honor at receiving an award for the fourth time and credited their fans for their success.

The event also featured a highly anticipated performance by BLACKPINK's Rosé and global pop star Bruno Mars, who took the stage to accept the 'Global Sensation' award and performed their hit song 'APT.'
