BTS's Jimin and Jungkook Shine in Billboard's 2024 Year-End Charts
Jimin (지민) and Jungkook (정국) of BTS (방탄소년단) have made a significant impact on Billboard's 2024 Year-End Charts, released on December 13, 2024. Jungkook's solo album, GOLDEN, secured the 80th position on the Billboard 200, while Jimin's second solo album, MUSE, landed at 200. They are the only K-pop solo artists featured on this chart, with Jungkook achieving the highest rank among Korean artists across both group and solo categories. He also placed 60th on the list of Top Artists, marking the best performance for a K-pop artist.
Both artists showcased their dominance across various year-end charts. Jungkook's debut solo single, "Seven (feat. Latto)," reached 15th place, while the title track from GOLDEN, "Standing Next to You," came in at 36th. His other single, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)," was ranked 129th on the Global 200 chart. Jimin's title track from MUSE, "Who," was positioned at 106th, and his first solo album's title track, "Like Crazy," was at 154th. Consequently, Jungkook and Jimin ranked 14th and 44th, respectively, among Global 200 Artists.
All five songs by Jimin and Jungkook that made the Global 200 chart also appeared on the Global (excluding the U.S.) year-end chart. "Seven (feat. Latto)" was 7th, "Standing Next to You" was 17th, "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)" was 78th, "Who" was 99th, and "Like Crazy" was 112th. In the Global (excluding the U.S.) Artist rankings, Jungkook was 8th, and Jimin was 28th.
GOLDEN (9th) and MUSE (46th) were also included in the Top Current Album Sales chart. In the Top Album Sales category, GOLDEN held the 10th position, with Jungkook ranking 9th among Top Album Sales Artists. The Top 10 Digital Song Sales chart featured two solo tracks from BTS members: Jungkook's "Standing Next to You" at 5th and Jimin's "Who" at 9th.
Jimin made history as the only K-pop artist to chart on the Streaming Songs list with "Who" at 74th. Additionally, MUSE ranked 11th on the World Albums chart, with Jimin at 6th among World Album Artists. BTS's anthology album, Proof, was 12th on the World Albums chart, and the group remained 10th among World Album Artists, maintaining its position on the chart for 130 weeks.
In related news, Jungkook won two awards at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards held on December 12, taking home the titles of Top K-Pop Album and Top Global K-Pop Song. This marks his second consecutive win for Top Global K-Pop Song, having previously won for "Seven (feat. Latto)" last year and for "Standing Next to You" this year.
