BTS's J-Hope Reveals Upcoming Activities and New Music Plans

On July 5, J-Hope of BTS (방탄소년단) shared exciting updates about his upcoming activities, including a new song release and plans for group activities. In a new video titled 'Summer Festival is an Excuse' on the YouTube channel 'Tteun Tteun,' J-Hope conversed with popular hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho.
During the discussion, J-Hope expressed his joy at reuniting with Yoo and Jo, sharing that he will be headlining the 'Lollapalooza' festival in Berlin this month. He also mentioned his role as an ambassador for luxury brands, specifically Louis Vuitton and the watch brand Audemars Piguet, which left Yoo and Jo in awe.
J-Hope emphasized the importance of sincerity in his ambassador roles, stating, "I genuinely love the brands I represent. Audemars Piguet holds special meaning for me as I purchased it when I first found success. It feels like a gift to myself." He also shared that he buys a watch for himself whenever he achieves a goal, prompting Yoo to remark on the significance of such a history.
The conversation shifted to Jo Se-ho's recent activities, with J-Hope teasing him about taking many photos at his doorstep. When asked about his marriage, Jo shyly replied, "It's great," and J-Hope admitted he missed Jo's wedding, which coincided with his military discharge last October.
As the discussion continued, J-Hope reflected on his military service, expressing relief at returning to civilian life and the lessons he learned during his time in the military. He noted, "It was a meaningful experience, and I learned a lot about myself."
J-Hope also mentioned his new song, 'Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla),' released on June 13, where he captures the thrill of falling for someone at first sight. He believes that men often exude their most attractive energy in their 30s, sharing a humorous moment about feeling confident after a shower.
When asked about challenges he faced, J-Hope recalled a time in 2018 when the overwhelming attention from fans made him question if he deserved such love. He noted that while it was gratifying to receive positive reactions, it also brought a sense of fear.
As the conversation wrapped up, J-Hope expressed his excitement about reuniting with his fellow BTS members for group activities after a long hiatus, stating, "It's been almost 3-4 years since we last came together, and I'm constantly thinking about how to communicate effectively with the members."
BTS is set to make a comeback in the spring of 2026, with plans for a large-scale world tour following the release of new music. The group will begin music production and performance preparations in the U.S. this July, as announced during a live broadcast on Weverse (위버스).
