J-Hope (정호석), a member of the globally renowned group BTS (방탄소년단), has made a generous donation of 100 million won to assist the families affected by the recent Jeju Air passenger plane accident. On January 2, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that J-Hope's contribution was aimed at providing support to the victims' families.

In a statement, J-Hope expressed his sorrow upon hearing the news of the tragedy, stating, "I decided to donate in hopes of helping the bereaved families, even if just a little. I extend my deepest condolences and comfort to all those who are grieving due to this incident."

The tragic incident occurred on December 29 at Muan International Airport, where a Jeju Air aircraft collided with the airport's emergency landing wall during a crisis landing, resulting in an explosion. The flight had 181 individuals on board, including 175 passengers and 6 crew members, with all but 2 crew members tragically losing their lives.
