BTS Releases Live Album 'PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE'

BTS (방탄소년단) is set to release their live album titled 'PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LIVE' today, July 18, at 1 PM KST. This album captures the essence of their concert tour held in 2021 and 2022 across three cities: Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. It marks the group's first live album since their debut.

The album features a total of 22 tracks, including mega-hits like 'Dynamite', 'Butter', and 'Permission to Dance', as well as beloved songs such as 'Blood Sweat & Tears' (피 땀 눈물), 'Life Goes On', 'Spring Day' (봄날), and 'Dope' (쩔어).

What makes this release special is the newly arranged live versions of the songs. Tracks like 'FIRE' (불타오르네) and 'IDOL' have been reimagined with a more intense sound, while 'Dynamite' and 'Butter' now feature brass sections, adding a lively and upbeat feel. Most songs have been arranged to suit a live band setup, providing a rich and dynamic listening experience.

BTS's tour, 'BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE', attracted around 4 million fans worldwide through various formats, including in-person performances, online live streaming, and live viewing events. This album encapsulates the excitement and emotions shared by millions of fans during the tour.

In addition to the album, a digital code for the final three performances of 'PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - SEOUL', held at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul in 2022, will also be released. This 141-minute digital code can be redeemed on the global fan platform Weverse, allowing fans to watch high-quality VOD content. An interview photobook featuring behind-the-scenes moments with the members will accompany the digital release.

Looking ahead, BTS has officially announced their comeback in spring 2026. During a Weverse live broadcast on July 1, they revealed that all members will be traveling to the United States sequentially starting in July to begin music production and prepare for performances. They plan to release new music in 2026 and embark on a large-scale world tour, marking their return as the complete '21st-century pop icons'.
