BTS Members RM and V Complete Military Service, Jungkook and Jimin Next

On June 10, 2025, RM (알엠) and V (뷔) of BTS (방탄소년단) officially completed their military service. Both members enlisted in December 2023 and have served approximately 1 year and 6 months in the South Korean Army. RM was part of the 15th Infantry Division's military band, while V served in the 802nd Military Police Battalion.

Upon their discharge, RM and V appeared at a soccer field in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, where they greeted fans and the press. They also held a live broadcast on the fan community platform Weverse, expressing heartfelt gratitude to their domestic and international ARMYs.

RM shared, "Even during my final leave, I diligently trained, like climbing stairs. I found myself in tears while talking with my juniors last night. It was a day filled with the full spectrum of human emotions." He added, "It felt like returning to being a trainee at 30. I feel like I’m starting over, having let everything go. I’ve grown really close to my friends who have also completed their service."

V reflected, "I cried when my seniors were discharged, but I didn’t shed a tear myself. I genuinely support the dreams of the friends I was with. It was a unique experience." He also mentioned, "There were tough moments, but the time spent sharing various life stories was the most precious."

Social media and fan communities erupted with reactions such as, "RM's words were so touching," "V not crying made me even more emotional," and "Now we just need to wait for the real comeback." Fans are already buzzing with excitement for their return to music.

Following RM and V's discharge, anticipation is now shifting towards Jungkook (정국) and Jimin (지민). Both enlisted in December 2023 and are currently serving in the Army, with Jungkook set to be discharged on June 11 and Jimin on June 13. Jungkook, who enlisted at a relatively young age for a celebrity, has drawn significant attention, and his upcoming discharge is heightening expectations for a full BTS reunion.
