BTS Members Jimin and Jin Top Brand Reputation Rankings for July 2025
In the latest analysis by the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute, BTS (방탄소년단) members Jimin (지민) and Jin (진) have secured the top two spots in the boy group individual brand reputation rankings for July 2025. The report, released on July 19, revealed that Jimin ranked first, followed by Jin in second place, with G-Dragon (지드래곤) from BIGBANG taking the third position.
The research institute analyzed big data from July 19, 2025, focusing on 755 individual boy group members, extracting a total of 84,897,759 data points. This analysis measured various indices, including participation, media, communication, and community engagement, to determine the brand reputation index. Compared to June's data, which totaled 80,888,103 points, there was a 4.96% increase in overall brand data.
The brand reputation index reflects how consumer online habits significantly influence brand consumption. It assesses positive and negative evaluations, media interest, and consumer engagement levels. The analysis also included brand value assessments and qualitative evaluations of brand reputation.
The top five rankings for July 2025 are as follows:
1. Jimin (지민) - BTS: Participation Index: 313,578, Media Index: 605,621, Communication Index: 2,167,611, Community Index: 2,262,685, resulting in a total Brand Reputation Index of 5,349,496, a 15.10% decrease from June.
2. Jin (진) - BTS: Participation Index: 273,164, Media Index: 567,622, Communication Index: 1,950,361, Community Index: 2,000,223, leading to a Brand Reputation Index of 4,791,370, which is a 48.72% increase from June.
3. G-Dragon (지드래곤) - BIGBANG: Participation Index: 715,720, Media Index: 632,742, Communication Index: 1,642,323, Community Index: 1,285,078, totaling a Brand Reputation Index of 4,275,862, a 5.43% decrease from June.
4. Cha Eun-woo (차은우) - ASTRO: Brand Reputation Index of 4,193,684, a 1.28% increase from June.
5. Jungkook (정국) - BTS: Brand Reputation Index of 3,974,767, a 23.40% decrease from June.
According to Goo Chang-hwan, the director of the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Jimin's brand ranked first due to a notable increase in brand consumption (4.11%), brand issues (14.42%), and brand communication (14.70%), despite a slight decline in brand diffusion (3.12%). The analysis highlighted keywords such as 'record', 'celebrate', and 'unchanged' in relation to Jimin, with a positive sentiment ratio of 92.08%.
The full list of the top 30 individual brand reputations includes notable names such as Kang Daniel (강다니엘), V (뷔), and others from various popular groups, showcasing the competitive landscape of the K-pop industry.
