BTS Crowned Most Streamed K-Pop Artist on Spotify for Seven Consecutive Years

BTS (방탄소년단) has once again dominated Spotify's year-end recap. According to the '2024 Wrapped' campaign released on December 5, the group achieved a staggering 3.9 billion streams this year, securing the title of the most-streamed K-Pop artist globally for the seventh consecutive year since 2018.

In addition to their group success, BTS members have also excelled in their solo endeavors. Jungkook (정국) ranked second, Jimin (지민) fourth, and V (뷔) seventh in the list of the top 10 most-streamed K-Pop artists worldwide.

Among the top 10 most-streamed K-Pop songs globally, seven were solo tracks by BTS members. Jimin's solo title track 'Who' was the most-played K-Pop song worldwide on Spotify this year, followed by Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' at second place, and the title track 'Standing Next to You' from his solo album 'GOLDEN' at third. V's song 'Love Me Again' from his first solo album 'Layover' came in fourth, while Jungkook's digital single '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' and Jimin's 'Like Crazy' also made the top 10.

In South Korea, Jimin was recognized as the most-streamed artist for the second year in a row, with Jungkook and V also making the top five. BTS collectively ranked eighth in the country.

Jimin's 'Who' and 'Like Crazy' topped the charts as the most-played songs among Korean Spotify users, with Jimin's 'Closer Than This' and 'Like Crazy (English Version)' also making the top 10. Jungkook's 'Standing Next to You', 'Seven (feat. Latto)', and '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' along with V's 'Love Me Again' also featured prominently in the top 10.

BTS members' solo albums also dominated the charts, with Jimin's 'MUSE' being the most-streamed album, followed by Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' and '3D: The Remixes'. Suga's (슈가) solo album 'D-DAY' also made the top 10.

BTS holds numerous records on Spotify, including being the only K-Pop artist to surpass 41 billion cumulative streams and the first group in the platform's history to reach this milestone. Jimin's 'Who' achieved the fastest 100 million streams for a song released by a Korean artist this year, while V became the first K-Pop solo artist to surpass 19 million followers on Spotify. Additionally, Jungkook's 'Seven (feat. Latto)' became the first K-Pop song to exceed 2 billion streams on the platform.
