BTS Completes Military Service, But Comeback Date Remains Uncertain

BTS (방탄소년단) has reached a significant milestone as all seven members have completed their military service, bringing them closer to a full group return. However, HYBE has been cautious about announcing a specific comeback date, drawing attention from fans and the media alike.

During a regular shareholders' meeting in March, HYBE CEO Park Ji-won stated, "The members of BTS are expected to finish their military service by the end of the first half of this year and will return afterward. However, they will need time for preparation and work before resuming activities." He also mentioned that discussions are ongoing with top-tier songwriters, but emphasized that the artists' own reflection and readiness take precedence.

Park further explained, "Typically, activities follow a pattern of creating songs, releasing albums, and then going on tour. However, since BTS is already a global top artist, there is considerable internal deliberation regarding their next vision and direction."

Despite all members having completed their service, HYBE is maintaining a careful and measured approach regarding the comeback schedule.

Fan anticipation continues to grow. On June 13, all members gathered at J-Hope's encore concert, 'HOPE ON THE STREET FINAL,' which many interpreted as the 'real start' towards their full group return. Notably, Jin (진) and Jungkook (정국) took to the stage, while RM, V (뷔), Jimin (지민), and Suga (슈가) were seen enjoying the performance from the audience, creating an electrifying atmosphere.

During the event, J-Hope expressed his gratitude, saying, "I love you all. This is a very special day for everyone. The members have all completed their military service and are back. We have so much to show you! We will prepare diligently, so please look forward to it. Let’s give a round of applause for the members who have returned healthy. They are precious to me."

With Suga (슈가) now also discharged, all eyes are on when and how BTS will make their full group comeback. While no specific dates have been announced yet, many insiders agree that the wheels are definitely in motion.
