BTS Announces New Album and World Tour Plans
BTS (방탄소년단) has officially reunited for a live broadcast on July 1, marking the first time all seven members have come together since September 2022. The 30-minute live stream attracted over 7.3 million views, showcasing the group's immense popularity. During the broadcast, BTS revealed plans for a new group album set to release in spring 2026. They stated, "We will start preparations in July. It will reflect the thoughts of all members, and we will return to our original mindset while working on it. Alongside the new album, we also plan to embark on a world tour, visiting various locations around the globe, so please look forward to it." This upcoming world tour will be BTS's first since their 'BTS Permission to Dance on Stage' concert in 2022. The group paused their activities after the 'Yet to Come in Busan' concert to fulfill their military service obligations. Despite this, the members have kept the music scene alive with their solo projects, with Jimin and Jungkook achieving number one on the Billboard Hot 100, while other members have also made significant impacts on various charts with their individual albums. As they prepare to regroup, excitement is building among global music fans. BTS is wrapping up their solo activities, with Jin recently concluding a successful fan concert tour on June 28 and 29. The other members expressed their enjoyment of the concert, stating, "It was really fun. It was a performance only Jin could deliver." Meanwhile, J-Hope is set to headline the 'Lollapalooza Berlin' festival on July 12 and 13, making him the first K-pop solo artist to take on this role, which has garnered enthusiastic support from his fellow members.
