BTS Achieves New RIAA Certifications, Solidifying Their Global Impact

BTS (방탄소년단) has once again demonstrated their global influence in the music industry. On June 23, 2025, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded new certifications to nine of their songs. Among these, four tracks received platinum certification for surpassing one million units sold: 'RUN' from the mini-album 화양연화 pt.2, 'Blood Sweat & Tears' from the album WINGS, 'DNA' from LOVE YOURSELF 承 'Her', and 'FAKE LOVE' from LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear'. With this achievement, BTS now holds a total of 13 platinum certifications, setting a new record for the most RIAA platinum certifications among K-pop artists.
Additionally, individual members have also made their mark, with Jimin's solo debut album FACE featuring the title track 'Like Crazy' and Jungkook's solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' both earning platinum status.
Last year, BTS's global hit 'Dynamite' was certified 5x platinum (over 5 million units sold) by the RIAA, making them one of only two Korean artists, alongside PSY (강남스타일), to achieve this milestone.
In addition to the four platinum certifications, BTS also received five gold certifications for songs that have sold over 500,000 units. These include 'Save ME' from the special album 화양연화 Young Forever, 'Spring Day' from the album WINGS: You Never Walk Alone, 'ON' and 'Black Swan' from the album MAP OF THE SOUL: 7, and the single 'Permission to Dance'. This brings their total gold certifications to 20.
The RIAA awards certifications based on digital single and album sales, categorizing them as gold (over 500,000 units), platinum (over 1 million units), multi-platinum (over 2 million units), and diamond (over 10 million units). The unit count includes physical and digital album sales, digital downloads, and audio and video streaming.
