BTOB Returns with Heartwarming New EP 'BTODAY'
The K-pop group BTOB, consisting of members Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Im Hyunsik, and Peniel, has made a vibrant comeback with their new EP titled 'BTODAY', released on March 5, 2025. This album brings a message of warmth and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
The title track 'LOVE TODAY' is a pop song rooted in modern rock sounds, featuring acoustic guitar melodies that beautifully showcase the members' emotional expressions. Lee Minhyuk contributed to the lyrics and composition, while Peniel was involved in the rap-making process, ensuring that BTOB's unique musical identity and emotional depth are well represented.
In addition to 'LOVE TODAY', the EP includes five other tracks: 'Starry Night', which tells a beautiful love story that lights up the dark night like stars; 'Say Yes', which expresses a heartfelt desire to hear a positive response to a confession; and songs like 'Flame', 'Be Alright', and 'Could It Be Any Better', all of which highlight BTOB's delicate vocal tones and singing abilities.
The four members, under BTOB Company, engaged with their global fanbase, known as Melody, through the 'BECOMING PROJECT', releasing new songs monthly from October to December last year. The culmination of this project is the album 'BTODAY', which they introduced through a Q&A session.

Q: How do you feel about your comeback with the new album 'BTODAY'?
A: (Seo Eunkwang) I'm thrilled and excited for this long-awaited comeback. Since we are returning in March, the start of spring, I hope this album brings warmth to everyone.
A: (Peniel) I'm excited to be back with a BTOB album after about two years! I can't wait to meet our Melodies.
Q: What is the title track 'LOVE TODAY' about?
A: (Lee Minhyuk) It's a song meant to convey a message to those who feel overwhelmed day by day. Having experienced such times myself, I wanted to create a song that encourages us to overcome together and move forward.
A: (Im Hyunsik) It's a very warm song with the message of 'Let's love today'. It allows both the listener and the singer to feel a greater love.
Q: What are the key points to listen for in 'LOVE TODAY', and are there any specific moments you recommend?
A: (Seo Eunkwang) I hope this song serves as a comfort during tough days, especially with the lyrics, 'It's okay to take a break when you're feeling so sad that you could collapse at the end of a tiring day.'
A: (Peniel) The song is filled with moments for group singing. Joining in the chorus will be healing.
Q: If you had to describe the new album 'BTODAY' in one word or phrase, what would it be?
A: (Seo Eunkwang) 'Sunshine'. It's an album that feels hot, warm, bright, and cozy like sunshine.
A: (Im Hyunsik) 'Colorful'. The album features a harmonious blend of songs in various colors.
Q: What do you focus on when working on songs, and where do you find inspiration?
A: (Lee Minhyuk) I need to enjoy the process. I try to create melodies that are easily relatable, and I hope the lyrics resonate with many people. The circumstances and emotional states during the creation process greatly influence the songs.
A: (Im Hyunsik) I find inspiration freely, anytime and anywhere. I strive to create music that remains enjoyable over time, paying attention to the structure of the songs.
Q: Were there any memorable moments during the album preparation, such as recording or music video shoots?
A: (Seo Eunkwang) During the jacket shoot, we tried to film with a snail friend, but it was too scared to come out, so we ended up shooting with its shell instead.
A: (Lee Minhyuk) I remember trying to look good for our Melodies after a long time, so I followed a diet and spent time sweating it out at the sauna.
Q: You are approaching your 13th debut anniversary on the 21st. How do you feel, and what can fans expect from the concert?
A: (Seo Eunkwang) I feel nothing but gratitude. This day is a celebration of BTOB's birth and a thank you to our Melodies who have been with us for 13 years. I hope we can all be the happiest in that moment.
A: (Im Hyunsik) I feel our bond with Melodies deepening as the years go by. I hope this concert allows us to feel an even deeper connection.
Q: What reactions or goals do you hope to achieve with the new album 'BTODAY'?
A: (Lee Minhyuk) As a team, I look forward to hearing the phrase 'trustworthy and listenable'. Personally, I want to be recognized for our musicality.
