Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Finalize Divorce After Eight-Year Legal Battle

Hollywood stars Brad Pitt (61) and Angelina Jolie (49), famously known as 'Brangelina', have reached a divorce settlement after an extensive eight-year legal struggle. According to reports from BBC and CNN on December 31, the couple signed their divorce agreement the previous day.

Jolie's attorney stated in a CNN interview that Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt eight years ago, citing emotional and physical abuse during a private flight. Since then, she and their six children have been working to settle their shared assets. The attorney emphasized that Jolie has been focused on finding peace and healing for her family.

The attorney added, "This agreement is just a part of that long process. Jolie is very tired, but she feels relieved that this part is finally over."

Pitt and Jolie married in 2014 and share six children. However, following the divorce filing in 2016, they engaged in a contentious legal battle. In 2021, a judge granted them joint custody of their children, but Jolie currently has sole custody, and the children reportedly do not have contact with Pitt. Recently, daughters Shiloh, Zahara, and Vivienne legally renounced their father's surname, 'Pitt'.

Additionally, a legal dispute regarding a winery they co-owned in France is still ongoing.
