BoA to Release New Album 'Crazyer' Despite Health Challenges

K-pop star BoA (보아) is set to release her 11th studio album titled 'Crazyer' on August 4 at 6 PM. This album marks her first full-length release in five years since 'Better' in 2020 and is particularly special as it celebrates her 25th anniversary in the music industry. Fans who have supported her throughout the years can look forward to this meaningful gift.
The album will feature a variety of tracks, including the title song 'Crazyer,' showcasing genres from upbeat dance tracks to emotional ballads. BoA, who has previously demonstrated her skills as a producer with songs like 'Only One,' 'Kiss My Lips,' and 'Forgive Me,' has infused her unique musical style into this new collection of self-composed songs.
Recently, BoA had to cancel her solo concert due to health issues. Her agency, SM Entertainment (SM), announced on July 15 that her fifth solo concert could not proceed due to her health concerns. BoA was diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis, which requires surgical treatment due to worsening knee pain. Following medical advice, she has been advised to avoid strenuous physical activities, including dancing, and will undergo surgery soon.
As a result, her solo concert scheduled for August 30-31 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul has been canceled. However, SM has assured fans that the album will be released as planned, emphasizing the significance of this year as BoA celebrates her 25th anniversary. Fans can anticipate receiving this musical gift from her through her 11th studio album.
