BoA Donates 100 Million Won to Samsung Medical Center for Orthopedic Patients

Renowned singer BoA has made a generous donation of 100 million won to the orthopedic department of Samsung Medical Center. Her agency, SM Entertainment, announced on July 30 that the funds will be allocated to assist orthopedic patients who face financial difficulties in accessing non-covered treatments. Recently, BoA underwent surgery for acute osteonecrosis, a condition where blood supply to the bone is disrupted, leading to the death of bone tissue, primarily affecting areas such as the upper thigh, upper arm, shoulder, knee, and spine. Following medical advice to avoid strenuous physical activity, she has canceled her solo concert scheduled for August. BoA expressed her hope that her contribution would provide some relief to those experiencing similar symptoms. She is also a member of the Honor Society (사랑의열매 고액 기부자 모임) and the women’s Honor Society (W아너 소사이어티).
