BLACKPINK's World Tour Launches Amid Controversy Over Ticket Sales

On July 5-6, BLACKPINK held their first concert in 2 years and 8 months at the Goyang Sports Complex, attracting 78,000 fans. The concert marked the beginning of their world tour, which will take them to 16 cities including Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and London. However, YG Entertainment faced backlash after selling tickets for the N3 section, which had obstructed views, at full price. Fans reported that despite the tickets being sold for 132,000 KRW, they were unable to see the stage due to a large screen blocking their view. YG issued an apology on July 7, acknowledging the issue and promising to take corrective measures. They explained that the intention behind installing the screen was to enhance visibility, but it inadvertently caused discomfort for attendees. YG stated they would provide further information regarding compensation through the ticketing platform. Additionally, BLACKPINK debuted their new song '뛰어' during the concert, with plans for 31 performances across various cities including Chicago, Toronto, Milan, and Tokyo.
