BLACKPINK's 'Lovesick Girls' Music Video Surpasses 800 Million Views on YouTube

On March 20, 2025, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK's music video for 'Lovesick Girls' has officially surpassed 800 million views on YouTube. This milestone was reached at 1:31 PM, approximately 1,630 days after its release on October 2, 2020.
'Lovesick Girls' features a blend of country-inspired guitar sounds and lyrical melodies, complemented by BLACKPINK's powerful vocals. Members Jisoo and Jennie contributed to the songwriting and composition, while the music video has been praised for showcasing the members' mature acting skills, setting it apart from their previous works.
The song also achieved remarkable success on global music charts, debuting at number 59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and securing the top spot on the Global YouTube Songs Top 100 chart for two consecutive weeks. The track is part of their first full album, 'THE ALBUM', which debuted at number 2 on both the US Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart, maintaining its rank for 10 and 7 weeks, respectively.
With this achievement, BLACKPINK now has a total of 13 videos on YouTube that have surpassed 800 million views. Their other hits include 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' (2.2 billion views), 'Kill This Love' (2 billion views), and 'How You Like That' (1.8 billion views for the performance video and 1.3 billion views for the music video), among others.
To date, BLACKPINK has released a total of 48 videos with over 100 million views on YouTube, consistently breaking records both as a group and as solo artists. Their cumulative view count has exceeded 38.2 billion, and their official YouTube channel boasts over 96.1 million subscribers, making them the top artists in this category worldwide.
BLACKPINK is set to kick off their [BLACKPINK 2025 WORLD TOUR] on July 5-6 at the Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea. The tour will include performances in four North American cities (Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York) and four European cities (Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London), culminating in Tokyo, Japan, for a total of 10 cities and 18 shows. This tour comes about 1 year and 5 months after their record-breaking [BORN PINK] tour, which attracted over 1.8 million fans, indicating an expansion in scale for their upcoming performances.
