BLACKPINK's latest single, '뛰어(JUMP)', has taken the global music scene by storm, with its music video surpassing 100 million views on YouTube. According to YG Entertainment, the milestone was reached at 2:52 AM on July 26, just 15 days after its release on July 11. This marks BLACKPINK's 49th video to achieve over 100 million views.
'JUMP' is the group's first foray into the hardstyle genre, featuring captivating guitar riffs reminiscent of a Western film, layered with the members' distinctive vocals. The explosive and addictive chorus adds to the song's appeal.
The music video has received widespread acclaim for its bold and unique direction, showcasing a storyline that embodies BLACKPINK's identity and a cinematic scale that perfectly complements the group's stature.
Upon its release, the video quickly became the most viewed video on YouTube within 24 hours. It maintained its momentum by topping the global YouTube daily chart for eight consecutive days and dominating the weekly charts for both songs and music videos, reaffirming BLACKPINK's status as 'YouTube Queens'.
Additionally, 'JUMP' is making waves on various global charts. It reached the top of Spotify's global weekly chart, setting a new record for the most number-one hits by a K-pop group. The song also debuted at 18th on the UK Official Singles Chart, marking a new personal best for the group. In the U.S., it topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) charts, making it the first K-pop girl group to achieve this feat for the third and fourth time, respectively.
BLACKPINK is currently on their 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR', which includes 31 shows across 16 cities. After successful performances in Goyang, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Toronto, they are set to perform in major cities like New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, bringing their stadium-level concerts to fans worldwide.
