Jisoo, a member of the globally renowned girl group BLACKPINK, is gearing up for her solo comeback on February 14. On January 13, she surprised fans by releasing a teaser for her upcoming solo album through her agency BLISSOO's official social media channels. The teaser features a motion of a lie detector, leaving a strong impression as it reveals the date 'FEBRUARY 14' alongside Jisoo's name.
This upcoming release marks Jisoo's second solo album, following her debut single '꽃 (FLOWER)' which was released in March 2023. It will be her first album since establishing her one-person agency, BLISSOO, heightening anticipation among fans. Detailed information, including the album title, will be announced later.
'꽃 (FLOWER)' achieved remarkable success upon its release, ranking 6th on Spotify, 38th on the UK Official Singles Chart, and reaching number one on iTunes in 57 countries worldwide, as well as topping the global YouTube song and music video charts. This success showcased Jisoo's capabilities as a solo artist.
As a member of BLACKPINK and an all-around artist, Jisoo is expected to deliver high-quality music and performances that reflect her unique identity in this new album. Additionally, she will star as the character Yeong-joo in the Coupang Play original drama 'Newtopia,' which premieres on February 7.
