BLACKPINK's Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa Dazzle in Black at the 2025 Met Gala

Members of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, Jennie (제니), Rosé (로제), and Lisa (리사), captured the spotlight at the 2025 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 5 (local time). The Met Gala, a prestigious charity event that began in 1948 to raise funds for the Costume Institute of the museum, has been co-hosted by Vogue since 1972, featuring a different theme each year. This year's theme, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,' celebrates exquisitely tailored black garments. Historically, black was associated with mourning in the 19th century but evolved into a symbol of fashion through the works of revolutionary designers like Gabrielle Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent.
Jennie, often referred to as the 'Human Chanel' by international fashion magazines, made her third consecutive appearance at the Met Gala. As the official global ambassador for Chanel, she wore a stunning black satin jumpsuit with a dramatic flair, complemented by a black fedora adorned with a white Chanel ribbon. The outfit, which took 330 hours to create, features a unique design where the lower half resembles a flowing dress.
Rosé, who previously attended the Met Gala in 2021 as the global ambassador for Saint Laurent, turned heads this year in a sleek black suit from the brand's 2022 Fall/Winter collection. She also showcased a striking necklace featuring a 14-carat sapphire and 13-carat diamonds, enhancing her elegant look.
Lisa, making her Met Gala debut as a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, boldly embraced a 'no pants' fashion statement, wearing a sheer jacket and stockings adorned with the brand's iconic monogram.
