BLACKPINK Tops December Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings

According to the latest big data analysis conducted by the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute, BLACKPINK has secured the top spot in the December 2024 girl group brand reputation rankings. Following them are aespa in second place and IVE in third. The analysis, which covered data from November 8 to December 8, 2024, evaluated a total of 61,959,273 brand data points, measuring participation, media, communication, and community indices to determine the overall brand reputation score. This figure represents a 7.14% decrease compared to the 66,722,508 data points analyzed in November.

The brand reputation index reflects how consumer online habits significantly influence brand consumption. It assesses positive and negative evaluations of girl groups, media interest, and consumer engagement. The analysis also included channel assessments from the brand reputation monitor.

The top 30 girl group brand reputation rankings for December 2024 are as follows: BLACKPINK, aespa, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, TWICE, Red Velvet, (G)I-DLE, ILY:1, Oh My Girl, Fifty Fifty, Nmixx, BABYMONSTER, ITZY, STAYC, Girls' Generation, MAMAMOO, IZ*ONE, tripleS, HIGHKEY, MIYAWO, Kep1er, Apink, KISS OF LIFE, Signature, WJSN, VIVIZ, Dreamcatcher, Girl's Day, Say My Name, CAT'S EYE.

BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) achieved a brand reputation score of 13,429,372, with participation at 236,612, media at 1,919,562, communication at 3,589,380, and community at 7,683,818. This marks a 6.21% increase from their November score of 12,644,046.

In second place, aespa (Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning) recorded a brand reputation score of 4,575,070, with participation at 223,992, media at 706,104, communication at 1,874,074, and community at 1,770,900, reflecting a 6.64% decrease from November's score of 4,900,720.

IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Lee Seo) came in third with a brand reputation score of 3,899,143, showing a 9.27% increase from November's score of 3,568,377. Their participation index was 164,220, media index 573,595, communication index 1,558,625, and community index 1,602,703.

LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) ranked fourth with a score of 3,253,408, slightly down by 0.09% from November. TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu) rounded out the top five with a significant 20.91% increase, achieving a score of 3,003,669.

Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute's CEO, Koo Chang-hwan, noted that while BLACKPINK maintained the top position, the overall girl group brand data decreased by 7.14% compared to November. He highlighted that brand consumption rose by 25.24%, brand issues increased by 6.49%, while brand communication and spread saw declines of 7.39% and 13.83%, respectively.

In the link analysis for BLACKPINK, terms like 'release,' 'breakthrough,' and 'beautiful' were prominent, while keywords such as 'Rosé,' 'apartment,' and 'Logie' were frequently mentioned. The positive-to-negative ratio for BLACKPINK was an impressive 95.60%.
