BLACKPINK to Release New Single 'JUMP' After Nearly Three Years

K-pop sensation BLACKPINK is set to drop their new single '뛰어 (JUMP)' on July 11 at 1 PM, marking their first release in 2 years and 10 months. This track features a hardstyle genre, combining distinctive guitar riffs reminiscent of a Western film with the members' unique vocals. The chorus bursts with energy in an electronic dance music (EDM) style.
The song is a collaboration between renowned producer TEDDY and 24, alongside a talented team of international songwriters and composers who have previously contributed to BLACKPINK's numerous mega-hits. Despite his busy schedule working on projects for girl groups 'MIAOW' and 'IZNA', as well as the mixed group 'All Day Project' and the Netflix animated series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' OST, TEDDY has remained committed to BLACKPINK.
The music video promises to showcase a unique charm that BLACKPINK has never revealed before, featuring bold direction from Grammy Award-winning director Dave Meyers, captivating scenes with numerous dancers, and a delightful storyline.
YG Entertainment, the group's management company, stated, "Fans will witness the perfect synergy of the four members coming together after 2 years and 10 months. The music video visually narrates BLACKPINK's story and their influence in a powerful way."
Even before its release, '뛰어 (JUMP)' has shown signs of immense popularity. The song received a warm reception when it was previewed during BLACKPINK's first concert of their new world tour 'DEADLINE' on July 5-6 at the Goyang Sports Complex. Teaser content has consistently topped YouTube's worldwide trending charts upon release.
Following a successful concert in Goyang, which kicked off their 16-city, 31-show world tour, BLACKPINK will head to Los Angeles on July 12-13. They are set to perform in stadiums across major cities worldwide, including Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
