Big Bang Ranks Second in Brand Reputation After 9 Years as Full Group

In the latest analysis of boy group brand reputation for December 2024, Big Bang (빅뱅) has secured the second position, following Seventeen (세븐틴) in first place and BTS (방탄소년단) in third. Despite being in their 19th year since debut, Big Bang continues to showcase their enduring popularity and influence among younger groups.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute conducted a big data analysis from November 7 to December 7, 2024, examining 58,026,385 data points related to boy group brands. This marks an 8.27% increase from the previous month’s data of 53,593,145.
The brand reputation index reflects how consumer online habits significantly impact brand consumption. It measures various factors such as participation index, media index, communication index, and community index, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of public sentiment towards boy groups.
The top 30 boy group brand reputations for December 2024 are as follows: Seventeen, Big Bang, BTS, Stray Kids (스트레이키즈), NCT, SHINee (샤이니), The Boyz (더보이즈), TO1 (투어스), ENHYPEN, ATEEZ, RISE, Super Junior (슈퍼주니어), ASTRO, EXO, TOMORROW X TOGETHER (투모로우바이투게더), TVXQ (동방신기), MONSTA X, BTOB (비투비), TREASURE, Wanna One (워너원), ZEROBASEONE (제로베이스원), BOYNEXTDOOR, WINNER, 2PM, Highlight (하이라이트), GOT7, CRAVITY, PENTAGON, ONEUS, and EVEN.
Seventeen achieved the highest brand reputation index of 6,106,152, with significant increases across all metrics compared to November. Big Bang followed with a brand reputation index of 4,696,756, reflecting a remarkable 341.34% increase from the previous month. BTS, on the other hand, saw a slight decline to 4,533,725, down 16.77% from November.
The analysis indicates that Seventeen's brand is characterized by high engagement in activities such as 'performing,' 'singing together,' and 'selling out' concerts, with keywords like 'CARAT,' 'Billboard,' and 'Tokyo Dome concert' being prominent. Their positive sentiment ratio stands at an impressive 92.20%.
Overall, the December 2024 analysis highlights the continued relevance and impact of established groups like Big Bang in the competitive K-pop landscape.
