Baro Entertainment Warns Against Impersonation Scams Targeting Fans and Businesses

Baro Entertainment, home to actors Byun Woo-seok (변우석) and Gong Seung-yeon (공승연), has issued a warning regarding fraudulent activities involving individuals impersonating their staff. On May 8, the agency reported that scammers have been posing as managers of their artists, approaching small businesses and requesting prepayments for specific products, primarily wine, under the pretense of organizing gatherings. Once the payment is made, these impersonators cut off all communication, leaving victims without recourse.
Baro Entertainment emphasized that their employees will never request money transfers or product purchases under any circumstances, and any such requests are illegal. They urged anyone receiving similar solicitations to verify the identity of the person claiming to be affiliated with the agency to prevent further victimization. The agency is taking the matter seriously and is committed to pursuing legal action against these fraudulent activities.
Previously, in March, Baro Entertainment addressed another scam where individuals claimed to have agent rights for Byun Woo-seok's overseas performances, attempting to exploit fans financially. The agency clarified that they have not granted exclusive rights or entered into any agent contracts regarding Byun Woo-seok's fan meetings or events.
