Baek Ji-young Shares Behind-the-Scenes Insights on New Music Video

Singer Baek Ji-young recently opened up about the making of her new music video in a video posted on the YouTube channel 'LeoJ Makeup' on December 15. The video features Baek discussing her title track '그래 맞아' from her 25th-anniversary album.

Baek Ji-young expressed her excitement, stating, "This is my 25th-anniversary album, marking exactly 25 years since my debut. The composer is Kangta. I was surprised myself; I initially didn't know. I chose the song through a blind listening process, and it holds special meaning for me."

She also shared details about the music video, directed by the renowned Lee Eung-bok, known for his work on popular dramas like 'Goblin' (도깨비), 'Mr. Sunshine' (미스터 선샤인), and 'Descendants of the Sun' (태양의 후예).

Baek revealed an interesting behind-the-scenes story: "I met the director at an actors' gathering as the wife of Jung Seok-won. He mentioned that he had never directed a music video before but would love to do one for me if the opportunity arose. I told him I would ask if a song worthy of his reputation came along, and a few months later, this song was born. The timing was perfect this time around."

Baek Ji-young married actor Jung Seok-won, who is nine years her junior, in 2013, and they have one daughter together. She released her mini-album 'Ordinary Grace' (오디너리 그레이스) on December 2 to celebrate her 25th anniversary in the music industry.
