Baek Ji-young Expresses Unwavering Love for Husband Jung Seok-won

On the May 6 episode of SBS Plus and E Channel's show, Solo's Life (솔로라서), singer Baek Ji-young showcased her deep affection for her husband, Jung Seok-won. During a heartfelt meeting with her close friend Oh Yoon-ah, who has been struggling with severe stress and health issues, Baek Ji-young offered support and advice.

Oh Yoon-ah revealed that she had to increase her thyroid medication after 15 years due to anemia and low blood pressure, and she was experiencing severe nosebleeds. Concerned about the possibility of developing panic disorder, she sought solace at her favorite nail salon, where she met Baek Ji-young.

Baek Ji-young lightened the mood by joking about her own low stress levels and encouraged Oh Yoon-ah to travel for healing. Oh Yoon-ah expressed her envy of Baek Ji-young's close relationship with her daughter, Ha-im, and shared her desire to have a child. In response, Baek Ji-young advised her to have a baby as soon as she finds a boyfriend.

Oh Yoon-ah also mentioned her thoughts on marriage, stating, "It's been a long time since my divorce, and I feel a lack of small happiness. If I meet a truly good person, I would consider marriage again. If I have a child, please don’t criticize me."

While supporting Oh Yoon-ah's romantic endeavors, Baek Ji-young expressed concern about her friend's dating choices, saying, "You have a poor eye for men. You deserve better and shouldn't settle for less." Oh Yoon-ah admitted to having difficulties in relationships, especially since her child, Min, is on the autism spectrum, making typical dating challenging.

She recounted a shocking experience with an ex-boyfriend who remarked, "I didn’t know Min was like that," which left her feeling disrespected.

Baek Ji-young then shared her own relationship with Jung Seok-won, emphasizing the mutual support in their marriage. "There’s no one-sidedness; it’s mutual. My husband treats me well, so I reciprocate. I still really like him. We’ve had our crises, but we understand and forgive each other. He embraces me first, which makes me want to embrace him back," she explained.

She added, "We have a camaraderie. I don’t want to lose my ally. Divorce is not in my vocabulary; I live with the mindset that he can’t live without me."

Baek Ji-young married Jung Seok-won in 2013, and they have one daughter together. Jung Seok-won faced legal issues in 2018 due to drug charges, receiving a 10-month prison sentence with a two-year probation. After a period of reflection, he made his comeback last year in the play, 'Will You Marry Me?'.
