Baek Gi-sung Expresses Desire for Children on KBS JOY's 'Ask Anything'

On December 23, Baek Gi-sung, a member of the group CAN, appeared on KBS JOY's show 'Ask Anything' (무엇이든 물어보살) to share his thoughts and concerns. He revealed that he has been gaining significant popularity with his recent cover songs and is contemplating whether it is the right time to release new music. Baek has released various covers, including tracks from the OST of 'Love's Hachuping' and 'Apartment', which have garnered explosive views and attention.

Reflecting on the changes in the music industry, Baek noted, "When I was actively promoting, singers could only rely on broadcasting stations and variety shows for publicity. Nowadays, younger audiences prefer smartphones over TV, so we need to adapt to that shift."

In response, Lee Soo-geun suggested that Baek should perform live, proposing the title 'Baek Gi-sung's Karaoke' for his performances. Baek expressed his approval, saying, "It would be great to cover songs that resonate with those in their 40s and 50s. I really like the name 'Baek Gi-sung Karaoke.'"

Seo Jang-hoon added that it would be better to release new music while the momentum is high, humorously suggesting that Baek could surprise fans by singing a new song after performing covers.

During the show, a fortune-telling session revealed a drawing of a baby, prompting Lee Soo-geun to ask if it meant Baek should return to his roots. Seo Jang-hoon jokingly speculated that it might indicate Baek's wife, Lee Eun-bi, who he married in 2017 after three years of dating, might be expecting.

Baek Gi-sung expressed his excitement, saying, "I want to have a baby," and confirmed that he has always had plans for a second child. Seo Jang-hoon also sensed positive energy regarding the prospect of a baby, predicting that good things are on the horizon for Baek in the coming year.
