Singer Baek Cheong-gang is set to return to the music scene after a hiatus of 6 years and 4 months. Today, April 5, he released his new single '점점점' ('Closer and Closer') across various music platforms at noon. He will also perform the song for the first time on SBS's 'Inkigayo' on April 6, marking the start of his promotional activities.

'점점점' is his first release since '끝에서' ('At the End') in November 2018, encapsulating the lingering emotions and allure that are difficult to express in words, as suggested by its symbolic title. The track features a captivating dance beat that highlights Baek's delicate and powerful vocals. The immersive sound from the very beginning, combined with the repetitive chorus of 'closer and closer,' adds a strong addictive quality to the song, showcasing a new musical style that transcends his previous ballad image.

Baek Cheong-gang gained widespread acclaim for his explosive vocal talent and sincere performances after winning MBC's '위대한 탄생' ('The Great Birth') in 2011. He has also overcome significant health challenges, having undergone six surgeries for colon cancer before being declared cancer-free. This comeback not only marks his return after 6 years and 4 months but also represents his first foray into dance music since his debut, heightening fans' anticipation for his activities.
