Bae Sung-jae and Kim Da-young Announce Their Marriage

Bae Sung-jae and Kim Da-young have each expressed their thoughts on their recent marriage in their own unique ways. On February 7, Bae Sung-jae hosted a live segment of SBS Radio Power FM's 'Bae Sung-jae's Ten' (배성재의 텐), where he addressed the wedding news that had stirred excitement the previous day. He stated, "I couldn't deliver the news earlier, but I wanted to share it through the radio. Thank you to those who congratulated us, and I apologize to those who are upset."

He continued, "We decided to combine our lives without a formal ceremony or other procedures. Both families understand this decision. I got involved while working on SBS's 'Goal Diggers' (골 때리는 그녀들), and I feel sorry and embarrassed about it." However, he confirmed that they do plan to go on a honeymoon.

When asked about the honeymoon, Bae added, "We have to go on a trip. Some are already asking who the special DJ will be during my absence, and I will let you know as soon as it's decided."

Around the same time, Kim Da-young shared her wedding sentiments on her personal social media. She wrote, "I have become a couple with someone I have been cautiously and beautifully dating. If it weren't for our public professions and overlapping circumstances, we might have been able to date more comfortably."

She elaborated, "I have thought long and hard about how we can be together in a way that is harmless and unproblematic for both of us and those around us. We will not hold a ceremony but will instead gather with our immediate families for a meal. I understand that it is polite to inform friends individually, but due to various sensitive circumstances, I hope for your understanding. I will sincerely accept your congratulations and blessings in my heart."

Earlier that day, Bae Sung-jae's agency, SM C&C, announced that he and Kim Da-young will tie the knot in May after two years of dating. The agency stated, "They wish to start quietly without any formalities, opting for a family meal instead of a ceremony. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding their privacy on other matters related to the wedding."

They also expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support and promised to return with great programs in the future.

Bae Sung-jae and Kim Da-young met as cast members on 'Goal Diggers' and have been in a relationship for two years. Although they share a background as SBS announcers, Bae left the company in February 2021, while Kim joined as a career announcer in August of the same year, meaning they never worked together directly.

Bae Sung-jae began his career as an announcer with KBS in 2005 before moving to SBS in 2006, where he primarily covered sports and soccer. After leaving SBS in 2021, he has been active as a freelance broadcaster, continuing his previous programs without interruption.

Kim Da-young worked at MBC and Busan MBC before joining SBS as a career announcer in 2021. She currently anchors sports news on 'SBS 8 News' and appears on 'Kim Young-chul's Power FM' and 'Goal Diggers.'
