Bae Sung-jae and Kim Da-young Enjoy Public Dates After Marriage

Former SBS announcer Bae Sung-jae and his wife Kim Da-young are relishing their newfound freedom to date publicly following their marriage. Before announcing their relationship, the couple kept their romance under wraps, but now they are openly enjoying their time together.

On July 3, the couple was spotted at the '2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League' game between the Doosan Bears and the Samsung Lions at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. Bae Sung-jae served as the ceremonial first pitcher, while Kim Da-young cheered him on from the stands.

Kim Da-young was seen practicing with Bae before he took the mound, capturing moments on her phone and smiling brightly as he pitched. She later shared her excitement on social media, stating, "Successfully listened to baseball commentary in Bae Sung-jae's voice!"

The couple, who have a 14-year age difference, met through the SBS variety show 'Goal Digger' and decided to marry after about two years of dating. Instead of a traditional wedding ceremony, they opted for a simple family meal to celebrate their union.

Bae Sung-jae's agency, SM C&C, explained, "They wanted to start quietly without formalities, so they chose a family dinner instead of a wedding ceremony. We ask for understanding regarding any further details as it pertains to their private lives."

Kim Da-young also expressed her thoughts on social media, saying, "We have long considered a way to be together that is harmless and uncontroversial. We decided to forgo a ceremony and instead have a meal with our immediate families. I apologize for not being able to contact everyone directly and sincerely appreciate all the congratulations and blessings."

Ahead of their wedding, Kim Da-young submitted her resignation to SBS and concluded her regular appearance on 'Kim Young-chul's Power FM' on April 23.

Bae Sung-jae began his career as an announcer at KBS Gwangju Broadcasting Station in 2005 and moved to SBS in 2006, where he worked across various fields including sports casting, news, entertainment, and radio. After leaving SBS in 2021, he transitioned to a freelance career. Kim Da-young joined SBS in 2021 as an experienced hire, making her mark in news, variety, and sports programs, and gained attention as a member of the 'Goal Digger' FC Anaconda team.
