Bae Seung-jae Joins New Variety Show Ahead of Wedding with Kim Da-young

Former announcer and broadcaster Bae Seung-jae is set to marry fellow announcer Kim Da-young in May and has announced his participation in a new variety show. The show, titled 'Run to Live' (뛰어야 산다), is a special project celebrating MBN's 30th anniversary. It will feature stars from various fields who will share their heartfelt stories as they take on their first marathon, aiming to overcome personal challenges and limitations.
Scheduled to premiere on April 19, 'Run to Live' will showcase the intense self-growth journeys of beginner runners. Notable figures Sean and Lee Young-pyo, known for their philanthropic efforts in marathon running, will lead a group of 16 running beginners known as the 'Run Crew.' Bae Seung-jae and Yang Se-chan will serve as hosts, providing commentary on the crew's marathon experiences.
Sean and Lee Young-pyo, who have participated in numerous marathons as part of the celebrity running group 'Unknown Crew,' are committed to supporting the 'Run Crew' in their marathon endeavors, including a charity marathon initiative. Bae Seung-jae and Yang Se-chan are also dedicated to motivating the crew by joining them in training sessions.
The show will be guided by Kwon Eun-joo, a former national marathon athlete and director of the film '1947 Boston.' The coaching team includes Lee Yeon-jin, a winner of the Chuncheon Marathon, as a tactical coach, Go Han-min, the top celebrity marathon record holder, as a pacemaker coach, and fitness coach Sim Eud-deum, a leading fitness creator in Korea.
The production team stated, 'Run to Live' will capture the growth stories of 16 beginner runners who are earnestly challenging themselves in the marathon. Their journey of overcoming personal wounds and limitations is expected to resonate deeply with viewers. Additionally, as the 'Run Crew' runs, donations will accumulate and be directed to meaningful causes. The final MVP will receive an opportunity to participate in one of the World Marathon Majors and a cash prize equivalent to 20 million won in carbon credits. We hope viewers will support the authentic marathon challenges of the 'Run Crew.'
'Run to Live' will air its first episode on Saturday, April 19, at 8:20 PM.
