Broadcaster Bae Seung-jae and SBS announcer Kim Da-young are set to begin their married life by registering their marriage without holding a wedding ceremony. After dating for over two years, the couple will officially tie the knot in May. Their relationship blossomed while they were both cast members on the SBS show, Goal Diggers (골 때리는 그녀들), leading them to fall in love and decide to marry.

Bae Seung-jae's agency, SM C&C, stated, "The couple wishes to start quietly without any formalities, opting for a family meal instead of a traditional ceremony. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding their privacy on other matters related to their marriage."

In a personal message on her social media, Kim Da-young shared her thoughts: "We have thought long about how to ensure that our union is harmless and uncontroversial for everyone involved. We will not hold a ceremony, but will gather only with our immediate families for a meal. I apologize for not being able to inform all our friends individually due to various sensitive circumstances. We sincerely appreciate your blessings and congratulations from the heart."

Bae Seung-jae also addressed the news during his radio show, Bae Seung-jae's Ten (배성재의 텐), where he expressed gratitude to those who congratulated them and apologized to anyone who felt upset by the announcement.

As the couple's wedding news continues to generate buzz, it was revealed that Kim Da-young had submitted her resignation to SBS on March 11, further fueling interest in their upcoming marriage.

Bae Seung-jae is expected to share more details about their wedding plans on the SBS show, My Little Old Boy (미운 우리 새끼), airing on March 30. During a recent recording, he revealed a nickname he uses for Kim Da-young, which elicited a strong reaction from the studio audience. The couple's photos and the significance of the nickname have become a topic of curiosity.

Bae Seung-jae disclosed the entire journey from their first meeting to the proposal, emphasizing that he often treated Kim Da-young to meals as a senior colleague.
