Bae Doona Shares Insights on Public Relationships in Recent Interview

In a recent episode of Shin Dong-yeob's YouTube channel, 짠한형 (Jjanhanhyeong), actress Bae Doona opened up about her experiences with public relationships, particularly her past romance with British actor Jim Sturgess. During the show, Bae Doona and fellow guest Lee Soo-hyun reminisced about their time together while filming the project 'Family Planning.' Bae shared a humorous anecdote about a dinner gathering where Lee Soo-hyun got scolded by her father, leading to a light-hearted moment as she recalled saying, 'I’m sorry' before hanging up.

When the conversation shifted to relationships, Lee Soo-hyun mentioned being a lifelong single, prompting Bae Doona to express sympathy, saying, 'It’s the best time.' Shin Dong-yeob then asked Bae about the advantages of public relationships, to which she candidly replied, 'There are no advantages to public relationships.'

Bae Doona further questioned Shin Dong-yeob, who also has experience with public relationships, about his perspective. He seemed taken aback, suggesting that their situations might differ. The discussion continued as Shin asked Bae how she would feel about encountering an ex in a future project. Bae responded coolly, stating, 'If I’m cast, I have to do it; it’s completely separate.'

Bae Doona emphasized the challenges actors face in maintaining their personal lives, explaining that while they can choose to disclose their relationships, doing so can hinder their professional focus. She expressed concern that if her name were overshadowed by someone else's in the public eye, it would be upsetting.
