Bada and Eugene to Perform S.E.S Stage Without Shoo Amidst Rumors of Discord

Bada and Eugene, members of the iconic K-pop group S.E.S, are set to perform on stage without fellow member Shoo, who has been at the center of recent discord rumors. While fans had hoped for a complete reunion, it appears that the performance will conclude with a separation.

On November 26, Bada shared a heartfelt message on social media, stating, "It’s been a while since I had a dance studio date with Eugene. Although it’s a short video, I want to share these joyful moments with our fans." She expressed her gratitude towards Eugene, saying, "Thank you for always being with me, my Eugene. Let’s be happy together at the warm S.E.S concert this winter."

In the video, Bada and Eugene are seen practicing for their performance of S.E.S's hit song "I Love You" without Shoo. The two displayed a close bond, even sharing a meal together during their rehearsal.

Bada also addressed her fans, saying, "Hey guys, do you know? Even if it’s not me, when my friends look beautiful or do well, I feel proud and uplifted! Thanks to our fans, I always feel proud. Today, I practiced concert choreography with Eugene, and I felt proud again. Seeing her dance with her long hair flowing, she looked truly beautiful. I’m really excited about what we’ll show on stage together. Let’s all cheer loudly. See you soon on stage!"

Since the rumors of discord with Shoo surfaced, Bada has been openly affectionate towards Eugene, referring to her as her "best friend" and showcasing their strong friendship.

The discord rumors began last year when Bada, Shoo, and Eugene, who debuted as S.E.S in 1997, reunited after a 14-year hiatus in 2016. However, Shoo's activities were halted after she received a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, and 80 hours of community service due to habitual gambling charges in 2019.

After a four-year hiatus, Shoo made her comeback on TV Chosun's "Star Documentary My Way" last year, where Bada and Eugene publicly supported her return. However, in September of last year, Bada revealed during a live broadcast that her relationship with Shoo had become strained.

Bada shared her feelings about the situation, stating, "As an older sister, I wanted to tell Shoo something. I explained to her why it wasn’t appropriate to wear a tank top right after that incident. She probably didn’t like my nagging."

She emphasized the importance of Shoo’s life choices, saying, "It’s not just about not gambling anymore. It’s also important what kind of life you lead. I really want to sing S.E.S songs. I was there to support you for that. I hope you come back before it’s too late. I want to meet you as you. Only then can we sing S.E.S songs again. I believe in you, and so do many others. So please come back."

Bada expressed her regret for not being able to communicate with Shoo, saying, "I’m sorry for not being able to answer your calls or texts. I don’t want to hurt you or say anything that might upset you."

In a recent post, Bada apologized to Shoo, saying, "Soo-young (Shoo's real name), I’m sorry for not being enough. I will always wait for you." She also shared a group photo from their S.E.S days, reminiscing about the past and sending signals of reconciliation.

When a fan expressed disappointment over the strained relationship, Bada responded, "I believe true friends sometimes need to respect each other’s wishes. Please understand that this is something Shoo doesn’t want."

Despite Bada’s efforts to mend their relationship, the anticipated full reunion of S.E.S seems unlikely, and fans will witness a performance featuring Bada and Eugene without Shoo at Bada's solo concert on December 7-8.
