Baby V.O.X Reunites for a Stunning Performance After 14 Years

Baby V.O.X made a remarkable return to the stage, reuniting as a full group for the first time in 14 years, showcasing the enduring legacy of first-generation girl groups. Their performance at the '2024 KBS Gayo Daechukje Global Festival' on December 20 at Ilsan KINTEX captivated audiences, especially as it put to rest recent rumors of discord among the members.

The festival, themed 'Infinity,' featured a variety of collaborative stages that connected K-pop artists across different generations. Among the highlights was the joint performance of first-generation and fourth-generation girl groups, with Baby V.O.X stealing the spotlight.

Debuting in 1997, Baby V.O.X gained immense popularity, particularly after member Yoon Eun-hye joined during their third album in 1999, bringing a unique girl crush appeal. Their stylish looks and music continue to resonate with fans today.

However, following their disbandment in 2006, the members pursued individual paths, yet maintained their friendship for over two decades. This year, speculation about internal conflicts arose when several members appeared on various variety shows without Yoon Eun-hye. Notably, during the SBS show 'Shoe-less and Divorced Men,' members Kan Mi-yeon, Lee Hee-jin, Shim Eun-jin, and Kim I-ji participated without her, leading to further rumors. A similar situation occurred on the E Channel and Channel S show 'Sister Who Used to Play,' where Yoon Eun-hye was also absent.

In response to the rumors, a representative for Yoon Eun-hye clarified that she had prior commitments that prevented her from attending 'Sister Who Used to Play' and emphasized that there was no conflict among the members. They regularly keep in touch and support each other, and Yoon Eun-hye was simply overseas during the recording of 'Shoe-less and Divorced Men.'

Despite the ongoing speculation, Baby V.O.X's performance at the Gayo Daechukje effectively dispelled any rumors of discord. The members shared their experiences and behind-the-scenes photos on their social media, reflecting on the memorable stage.

Fans expressed their joy and relief, with comments like, "I wish they had posted a photo together when the rumors started! It made me so upset," and "I'm so proud to see them showing their close bond on stage. Baby V.O.X forever!" Many praised the performance as a testament to the power of first-generation girl groups, saying, "What a magnificent stage! You all are amazing, and I support your friendship!"
